Through the sports memoir, I shared a memory that has shaped my current relationship and passion surrounding the sport of volleyball: an ACL tear injury. With the flexible requirements for this assignment, I was able to use my personal voice to communicate the feelings, emotions, and lessons from this experience.

The sports press release allowed me to report on an announcement that aligned with a player, club, and sport that I am extremely passionate about and create a fake scenario. This assignment allowed me to practice a writing format and style I have little experience with and develop viable reporting skills I will need in a future sports journalist job. 

In the sports feature article I was able to use my journalistic skills alonside my design skills. This was by far my favorite project I completed as I was able to use my creativity beyond just language, but also in layout and design. I reported on football player, Joshua Burrell, and his story on navigating through injuries, which is a topic close to my heart.
