About Me
Isabella Tobon
I am an Editing, Writing, and Media student at Florida State University hoping to acquire a job in magazine or news broadcast journalism. This fall, I worked with FSU Center for Undergraduate Research and Academic Engagement as the Social Media and Outreach Intern. This job gave me the tools in writing and editing for marketing purposes that will greatly benefit me in any area of journalism or marketing I pursue in the future.
My Story
I have always had a strong passion and connection to sports from a young age but have also always known I wanted to pursue a career involved in writing, which, as I have gotten older, has turned into a career in journalism. Through this class I have been able to exercise and practice the use of language and design to report on sports stories in multiple media formats. Through the skills adapted in this course, I am successfully able to merge my passions for writing and sports into a desired career field. From writing about my own personal journeys in sports to reporting on other people's experiences, I have found so much joy and reward in the projects I have been able to complete this semester and can see myself expanding my sports journalism portfolio in the future.
